The Y-WE 2026 ~ A New Milestone Forward Ceremony

In an era of rapid technological advancement, young people need more than academic knowledge to thrive. Equally important are essential soft skills such as problem-solving, communication, collaboration, empathy, and a strong sense of responsibility, all of which are vital for navigating future challenges.

Over the years, the Career Development Initiative Alliance (CDIA) has provided meaningful workplace learning opportunities for secondary school students through its large-scale work experience programmes. These initiatives enable students to explore their interests, discover their potential, and plan for their future career paths. This year, nearly 700 students from underprivileged backgrounds participated in the programme, gaining valuable hands-on experience through placements across a wide range of industries.

The Y-WE 2026: A New Milestone Forward Ceremony, held on 19 October 2026 at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Jockey Club Auditorium, celebrated the achievements of participating youths and recognised their growth, resilience, and accomplishments throughout the programme.
